Antioxidant effect of vitamin E on diphenylamine-induced hepato-renal oxidative stress and structural changes in rat fetuses

To date, studies on the effects of prenatal exposure to diphenylamine developing fetuses are sparse. Therefore, further investigation is required determine potential hazard this compound and introduce possible treatment for these hazards. This study aimed assess biochemical, histopathological, ultrastructural changes induced by in liver kidney rat role vitamin E alleviating changes. Fifty pregnant rats were divided equally into five groups, group I was administrated distilled water, II corn oil, III 100 mg/kg/b.wt. E, IV approximately 400 mg/kg/b.wt V + at above-mentioned doses from 6th 15th day pregnancy. Diphenylamine undesirable histopathological fetal kidney. These form vacuolation, congestions central veins, hemorrhage, leucocytic infiltration, degenerated cytoplasm, pyknotic nuclei, swollen mitochondria rER hepatocytes. While degenerative represented brush border, lumen dilation, tubular hyalinization, mitochondria. Also, there a significant decrease antioxidant enzymes i.e., superoxide dismutase catalase, increase reactive oxygen radicals malondialdehyde. Treatment with vitamins after restored all damage cited above. In conclusion, has which could be able antagonize toxicity.
